KUALA TERENGGANU – The PAS-ruled Terengganu government has not finalised any decision on the future of 900 Terengganu People’s Transformation Agency (ATRA) staff, said Human Development, Da’wah and Information Committee chairman Mohd Nor Hamzah.
However, he said, so far the state government had only stopped the ad hoc staffing because it had to bear a high cost if it continued.
“We have yet to discuss whether their contracts will be renewed or terminated,” he told reporters at an event at Kuala Terengganu Syariah Court here yesterday.
Also present was Terengganu Syariah chief judge Wan Mohd Zakri Wan Mohd.
Mohd Nor said the state government was still paying salaries to ad hoc staff whose their service had been extended until June 30. – BERNAMA
