IPOH: Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir today tabled the state’s five-year development plan which focuses on seven main thrusts.
The comprehensive plan, which was tabled at the state assembly sitting here, will be implemented under the 11th Malaysia Plan which was tabled by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak at Dewan Rakyat on May 21.
The development plan’s seven main thrusts are as follows:
â€¢ Boosting the economic growth through new networks to help the state achieve Perak Amanjaya Development Plan and Vision 2020
â€¢ Continuing inclusive and sustainable development for people from all walks of life
â€¢ Empowering human capital as a catalyst for economic development and people’s wellbeing.
â€¢ Reinforcing infrastructure networks as the foundation for economic development and people’s wellbeing.
â€¢ Encouraging creativity and innovation as a new thrust for sustainable and competitive economy
â€¢ Strengthening the development thrusts that give a balanced treatment to mental, physical and spiritual development
â€¢ Bridging the gap between the regions and demography through the development of economic corridors.
To further boost the economic development under the 11th Malaysia Plan, Zambry said the state government would also implement projects and programmes that involve foreign and private investors, apart from public funding.
