MUAR – The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar was today joined by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, riding a superbike, on the second day of the Kembara Mahkota Johor (KMJ) 2015 starting from the Lenga public field, here.
The journey of 80.9 kilometres would take about one hour to reach Kampung Sri Gajah in Chaah, Segamat.
Earlier, Ahmad Zahid handed over to Sultan Ibrahim, a contribution of RM1 million from the Prime Minister’s Department for the Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation and another RM1 million for the KMJ fund.
Also present were Permaisuri Johor Raja Zarith Sofiah Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah, Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and his consort Che’ Puan Khaleeda Bustamam, and the Sultan’s other children.
Former deputy prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who is also the member of Parliament for Pagoh, and Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin also attended the event at the public field. – BERNAMA
