KUALA LUMPUR – The Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir today visited the Second Series of the Exhibition on the Selected Collection of the Malay Rulers at the Royal Museum, here.
Accompanying him to the exhibition were the Tunku Ampuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Aishah Rohani Tengku Besar Mahmud and their son, Tunku Zain Al’Abidin.
The royal family were greeted on arrival at about 11.30am by the museum’s Director-General, Datuk Ibrahim Ismail.
Ibrahim said the exhibition this time displayed the personal collections of the rulers of two states, namely Negeri Sembilan and Kelantan.
“The exhibition, which began on Dec 1, was the second series after the first one held earlier this year and had chosen the personal collections of three Malay rulers from Perlis, Kedah and Pahang.
The Royal Museum was formerly the Istana Negara and was built in 1928. It was used as the Istana Negara from 1957 until November 2011 when the new palace was built at Jalan Duta. – BERNAMA
