KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian exponents Ho Mun Hua and Loh Jack Chang secured a gold each on the final day of the three-day wushu competition at the 2017 Kuala Lumpur SEA Games (KL2017) today.
In this morning’s session, Ho accumulated 9.67 points to upset Vietnam’s Pham Quoc Khanh who took the silver with 9.66 points in the men’s nanquan category. Brunei’s Md Sufi Shayiran Roslan claimed the bronze with 9.65 points.
In the men’s taijiquan event, Loh bagged the gold with 9.66 points while Singapore’s Samuel Tan Wei Han took the silver with 9.52 points and the bronze medal went to Khant Min Htet of Myanmar with 9.36 points.
In the women’s nandao / nangun category, Indonesia’s Juwita Niza Wasni scored 19.29 points to take the gold while Vietnam’s Nguy Thuy Linh collected silver with 19.25 points and her compatriot Nguyen Thuc Anh took the bronze with 18.77 points.
Six gold medals are at stake in the wushu arena today with three in the morning and three in the evening sessions. – BERNAMA
