The world’s first dengue vaccine will be available in stores by June.
But before that, the Health Ministry is conducting clinical tests on to find out more about its long-term use.
“We are conducting a study to obtain sufficient data to support our use of the vaccine,†Minister Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam was quoted as saying by Bernama.
In what might be a little flicker in the dark statistics contributed by the deadly illness, Subramaniam revealed that fewer cases have been reported – 2,300 – since September compared to the 3,000 cases in August.
Since Jan 1, over 72,000 cases have been reported nationwide with Selangor topping the list followed by Kelantan and Kuala Lumpur.MYNEWSHUB
