KUALA LUMPUR – Two women were rescued by firemen after they were injured during a hike at Broga Hill, today.
The department received a distress call at 10am regarding the incident and immediately deployed six firemen to rescue the victims.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations assistant director Mohd Sani Harul said the rescue team arrived at the scene 15 minutes after the distress call was received.
“A victim aged 26 sprained her ankle while another victim sustained a broken leg,” he said.
It was learnt the victims were hiking the hill with other friends when they lost control of their steps due to the slippery ground and fell.
Sani said the rescue mission took about three to four hours.
“Rescuers had to carry the victim who sprained her ankle while the victim who broke her leg was brought down using a stretcher,” he said.
Sani added the victims were rushed to Kajang hospital for further treatment. – NST Online
