PETALING JAYA – A woman who claimed to have been assaulted by Islamic reality TV programme “Pencetus Ummah” second season runner-up, Ahmad Faiz Hafizuddin Rosli, better known as PU Faiz, was charged in the Magistrate’s Court today with criminal trespass of a tahfiz school.
Nurul Intan Sakinah Azmi, 29, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge read to her before magistrate Datin Fadzlin Suraya Mohd Suah.
She was charged with committing the offence by unlawfully entering the premises owned by PU Faiz, 27, which is used as a centre for Islamic religious studies.
The single mother of four allegedly committed the offence at Pondok Rumi Sufi Jawi, No 14-3, Second Floor, Jalan Pekaka 8/4, Section 8, Kota Damansara, here, at 2.30 pm on Sept 26, this year.
The charge under Section 447 of the Penal Code provides for a jail term of up to six months or a fine not exceeding RM3,000, or both.
Deputy public prosecutor Saphirra Selamat offered the accused bail of RM5,000 in one surety.
Lawyer Datin Hazizah Kassim, representing Nurul Intan, asked that the bail be reduced to RM1,000 as her client is a single mother of four who depends on her only income as an freelance preacher.
“We are also asking for a court order be issued for both parties not to makeany statement in the social media which could disturb the hearing of the case,” she said.
The court allowed the accused bail of RM3,000 in one surety and set Dec 7 for case mention.
It also allowed the application by the defence for both parties not to make any statement which could disturb the case proceeding.
Last Monday, PU Faiz pleaded not guilty to a charge of injuring Nurul Intanat the same place. – BERNAMA
