KUALA LUMPUR – A witness to a road crash which killed a baby at Km 433.8 North-South Expressway (North bound) near Kuala Kubu Baru on Sunday, made a report at Setapak police station yesterday.
Hulu Selangor Police chief Supt R.Supramaniam said the man also handed over video footage and a video recorder to the police.
The witness said he went to the aid of the occupants of a Perodua Axia which plunged into a ditch.
Following the crash, a woman,27, the Proton Persona driver, was arrested a day later and released on bail after urine and blood samples were taken for tests.
In the crash, a Proton Persona driven by the woman spun and ened on opposite lane, crashed into a road divider, and caused the Perodua Axia driven by Shahril Salleh, 32, to lose control and skid into a ditch.
As a result, Shahril’s wife, Rafnah Mongudancgal, 35, and her 3 month-old baby, Aril Rizqin Redza, were thrown out of the car. The baby died at Sungai Buloh Hospital.
Shahril, Rafnah and two sons, Aril Hakimi Ashraf, 11, and Aril Zakuan Haris, 4, suffered light injuries. – BERNAMA
