KUALA LUMPUR – A weak earthquake, measuring 2.9 on the Richter scale, struck Ranau in Sabah at 12.27 am today, according to Meteorological Department.
It said the quake caused tremors that were felt in Ranau.
The department also said that a moderate earthquake, measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale, struck Luzon in the Philippines at 3.40 am today.
It said both earthquakes did not pose any tsunami threat. – BERNAMA
