KUALA LUMPUR – The water treatment plant at Sungai Semenyih has not resumed operations resulting in continued supply disruption in Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat and Sepang.
Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (SYABAS) in a statement Saturday night, said that the situation was aggravated by unscheduled low pressure.
“Lembaga Urus Air Selangor (LUAS) informed us that the Sungai Semenyih water treatment plant was shut down at 5 pm Saturday and should have started operating again at 9.30 pm,” the statement said.
SYABAS is providing 49 tanker lorries for emergency delivery to 39 areas in Petaling, 72 in Kuala Langat, 209 in Hulu Langat and 86 in Sepang.
