KOTA BAHARU – Popular preacher, Datuk Mohd Kazim Elias who was admitted to the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital (HUSM), Kubang Kerian here Friday night due to fatigue and chest pains, was reported stable.
His special officer Rafi Rahman said Mohd Kazim, 44, who was currently being treated at the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) was conscious and could speak clearly compared to Friday night.
â€œUstaz Kazim needs a lot of rest as he is still tired,â€ he told reporters here, yesterday.
Meanwhile, HUSM confirmed Mohd Kazim was stable and being monitored by a medical specialist.
Mohd Kazim was admitted to HUSM after complaining of fatigue while delivering a ceramah in the compound of the Area Farmersâ€™ Organisation, Sri Gunong, Bator, Bachok titled â€˜National Food Agro Jihadâ€™ which started at 9.30pm on Friday night.
At that time, Mohd Kazim had spoken for about 10 minutes when he apologised to the 2,000 people present after he felt ill.
The talk was organised by the Kemubu Agriculture Development Authority (Kada) in collaboration with the Teratak Pulai Mosque, Bachok.
Kada deputy general manager Nik Roslan Idris, who visited Mohd Kazim yesterday morning, said the condition of the preacher had improved and he chatted with the latter. â€” Bernama
