Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin reminded more than 50,000 teachers who subscribed to the 1TeacherCard credit card to be smart in using the facility.
He said the teachers must manage the usage of the credit card wisely and not abused it.
“If misused, it can have adverse effects on oneself,” he said before presenting prizes to the winners of the 1TeachersCard’s “Because You are So Special” campaign today.
Nonetheless, Muhyiddin lauded the 1TeacherCard credit card facility because it was tailored to give back a portion of what the teachers spent to the Yayasan Guru Malaysia Berhad’s welfare fund.
Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) introduces the 1TeachersCard exclusively for those in the teaching profession and Education Ministry staff.
The 1TeachersCard offers the lowest financial charges in the credit card industry at 8.88% per annum
Later, Islamic Studies teacher Muhamad Nor Hidayat, 34 from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Jengka, Maran Pahang was named as the grand prize winner of Bank Simpanan Nasional’s premium savings certificate worth RM100,000 under the “because You are So Special” campaign.
