KUALA LUMPUR – United Sabah Bumis Organisation (USBO) members made a courtesy call on Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today at the Parliament building here.
The members led by Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia, who is also USBO acting president spent almost an hour with the Prime Minister.
Pandikar told reporters later that USBO made the courtesy call to discuss about its aspirations besides expressing support for Najib as UMNO president and Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman.
“The courtesy call was planned long ago as USBO is unique in that it is the only non-governmental organisation which is affiliated to the BN in Sabah,” he said.
He said Sabah would remain a ‘fixed deposit’ for BN and that the new leaders and veterans in USBO were ever ready to help strengthen the coalition in facing the 14th general election.
Pandikar Amin took over as USBO interim president after Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak decided to take sabbatical leave following his appointment as Communications and Multimedia Minister. – BERNAMA
