DISSATISFIED with the first music video for her single ‘I Am Me’, entrepreneur Datuk Seri Dr Hasmiza Othman a.k.a. Vida has no qualms of forking out more moolah to shoot another one, one that would satisfy her.

“Although I already shot a music video earlier, I never released it as I don’t think it really captured the song perfectly.

“So I set aside another time and another budget to shoot the video for my single. Directed by Ghaz Abu Bakar, I think this video is more ‘I Am Me’ and I hope to launch this video on Sept 30,” the 45-year-old millionairess told the New Straits Times today.

The video, which was shot over 24-hours at her house in Ipoh, drew flak from netizens when three stills from the video were shared on Instagram by one Reen Emran, who is believed to be one of the production crew members, last Sunday.

One of the pictures had the entrepreneur-turned-singer in a bathtub filled with RM100 and RM50 notes, plus jewellery, instead of water and bubbles like the rest of us.

It was this particular image that drew criticism from social media users, who claimed that Vida was showing off a little too much.

Asked how much was spent on making the new music video, Vida declined to elaborate, saying that she didn’t want to further infuriate Malaysians by being a “show off” again.

“Those images of luxury were supposed to inspire people to work hard, not to show off my wealth,” said Vida, who also featured her fuchsia sports car in the video.
