KUALA LUMPUR – Only Larkin Lama and Pasir Gudang, Johor recorded unhealthy air quality at 9 am Tuesday.
The air pollutant index (API) readings for the two areas were 105 and 102, respectively.
The Department of Environment in its portal stated that 27 areas recorded moderate API readings.
The areas include Bukit Rambai (83); Kota Tinggi (80); Bandaraya Melaka (78); Banting and Port Klang (72); Seremban (71); Muar and Nilai (70); Samarahan (63); and Sri Aman (62).
An API reading of 0 to 50 indicates good air quality; 51 to 100, moderate; 101 to 200, unhealthy; 201 to 300, very unhealthy; and 300 and above, hazardous.
