PUTRAJAYA – Several former members of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) have applied to the police to hold a peaceful demonstration in front of the Registry of Societies on Thursday.
A former executive committee member of PPBM Youth or Armada, Muhammad Hafiz Azhar, said the gathering was to urge RoS to take action against PPBM for having allegedly violated its constitution.
He said they applied to the Putrajaya Police headquarters yesterday for a permit to stage the peaceful demonstration and were awaiting a response from the police.
Speaking to reporters in front of the Putrajaya Police headquarters after collecting a copy of the application, Muhammad Hafiz said they would go ahead with the gathering even if they were denied a permit.
He said more than 500 members of PPBM, especially those who had submitted an official complaint to RoS, would take part in the demonstration. – BERNAMA
