KUALA LUMPUR – An unemployed man pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here today to a charge of robbing and voluntarily causing hurt on a woman last Saturday.
Muhammad Farhan Rosli, 23, made the plea after the charge was read out to him before judge Noradura Hamzah.
The man, and another person still at large, were charged with committing the offences on a 57-year-old clerk, Siew Kean Hoh, 57, along the road in front of Rafflesia Condominium in Sentul here at 7 am last Sept 16.
He was charged under Section 394 of the Penal Code, read together with Section 34 of the same law, and faced an imprisonment for up to 20 years, and is also liable to fine or whipping, if found guilty.
Deputy public prosecutor Muhammad Farith Muhd Faizal prosecuted, while lawyer Zamani Mohktar represented Muhammad Farhan.
