KOTA KINABALU – Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman advised the people in Sabah including policy makers to have a good grasp of international political issues and the latter’s relation to domestic politics.
He said such understanding was imperative for national harmony to sustain.
He added that every citizen must have a sense of responsibility to ensure that the country continues to prosper rather than face the same conflicts and problems suffered by other countries.
“The war conflicts in several countries in East Asia for example is an important lesson to Malaysians. The harmony and prosperity in these countries that were built over decades were easily wiped away.
“Therefore, we should avoid conflicts and problems from overriding our country,” he said.
Musa said this when launching the Master of Arts course (Government and International Relations) and Islamic Studies Programme, Humanities, Arts and Heritage Faculty, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) here, today. – BERNAMA
