RAWANG – UMNO will remain relevant in leading the nation amidst the changes taking place as Malaysia goes forward towards the country’s 60th independence anniversary next year.
Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said that in line with the age of the country’s independence, the organisation continues to maintain consistency in implementing policies based on the welfare of the people.
Mahdzir who is also Education Minister, said the three main driving forces behing the country’s development, championed by UMNO comprise, economic, educational as well as social development and religious aspects.
“Heading towards 60 years of independence, we have proved that everything done by the Barisan Nasional leaders has brought prosperity to the people and this struggle will continue.
“If we can say we’ve been successful this far, so it’s time to work together to manage the success achieved in order for it to be maintained forever,” he said when opening the 28th Selayang UMNO division delegates meeting here, today.
Mahdzir said the Barisan Nasional will continue to consistently create new policies which will benefit the next generation. – BERNAMA
