KUALA LUMPUR – The Umno General Assembly 2014 enters its second day today.
Eight delegates, including representative of local university students, are expected to take the floor today starting at 8.30 am to debate on president’s policy speech.
The assembly will be temporarily adjourned at 11.30 am for lunch and Friday prayer and to be resumed with the tabling of the motion on economy by Johor Umno representative Datuk Dr Adham Baba, who is also Tenggara Umno division chief.
Puteri Umno representative Nor Hazreena Mohamad Hashim from Batu Umno division is expected to second the motion, with 15 other delegates to debate it.
Another motion on religion and education is also expected to be tabled and debated later today.
A total of 2,752 delegates are attending the three-day assembly of the largest Malay party at the Putra World Trade Centre. – Bernama
