KUALA LUMPUR – Two rogue Selangor PAS assemblymen have been suspended from the party for one year with immediate effect.
In announcing this, PAS secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali said the duo, Hulu Klang assemblyman Saari Sungib and Morib assemblyman Hasnul Baharuddin could, however, appeal to the Syura Council within 15 days.
He explained that the two are still PAS assemblymen but they can’t represent the party in any events.
“Their work as assemblymen is not affected. This is only concerning their membership,” said Mustafa, after attending the PAS central committee held at the party headquarters here, Sunday.
The two were found guilty of breaching the party instructions for supporting PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as the Selangor mentri besar candidate. – The Star Online
