Traffic Flow On Major Highways Slowing Down

in Latest

KUALA LUMPUR – Traffic flow on several major highways throughout the country was reported to be moving slowly as at 11am as the people began to return home from the Aidiladha holidays.

A spokesman of the Plus Expressways Sdn Bhd Traffic Control Centre said traffic flow was busy on the North-South Highway from the north beginning from Permatang Pauh heading towards Prai, Changkat Jering to Bukit Berapit, Kuala Kangsar to Menora Tunnel, Ipoh to Gopeng and Tapah to Sungkai.

“However, traffic flow from the south heading for the federal capital was still moving smoothly without any accident reported,” he said when contacted by Bernama today.

Meanwhile, a Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) spokesman said an increase in the number of vehicles resulted in traffic flow to be slower before and after the Kuala Terengganu Toll Plaza on the East Coast Highway 2 and from the Bentong Toll Plaza heading for Bukit Tinggi.
