Its senior general manager (Corporate Affairs), Corporate Communications Division, Datuk Mohd Aminuddin Mohd Amin said TNB hopes the donation can lighten their financial burden.
TNB had allocated RM7,500 to the poor, orphans and single mothers who were present in the ceremony.
“Similar events are being held at selected mosques in every state across the country,” Mohd Aminuddin said in a statement today.
Meanwhile, one of the recipients, Asmah binti Isnin,65, said the donation given by TNB can lighten her burden when making preparation to celebrate Aidilfitri.
“I did not not expect to receive the donation from TNB. I am grateful for the assistance,” she added. – BERNAMA
