KUALA TERENGGANU – The Terengganu Ladies Hockey Team (TLHT) kept their hopes to claim the 2018 Malaysia Women’s Hockey League alive when they trounced UiTM 4-1 at Batu Buruk Hockey Stadium here today.
Despite the big score, it was UiTM who went ahead in the 33rd minute via Nurfatin Dizana Mohd Zaidi before TLHT found their rhythm in the fourth quarter to equalise via Juliani Muhamad Din in the 52nd minute.
TLHT then began a barrage of goals with a penalty stroke by Siti Noor Amarina Ruhani in the 54th minute, while Tuan Nur Hidayah Tuan Ismail contributed a field goal one minute later before Norfatin Nabila Mohamad completed the rout with the fourth goal in the 59th minute.
TLHT head coach Muhammad Harun Al-Rashid Samri acknowledged his charges in the first half was lethargic before they got their act together to deliver three points.
“With four more days to the final, I think we should win and score in each match as we have lost seven points from two draws and one loss…hopefully we will charge back as league champions on Feb 18 or 20,” he told reporters after the match. – BERNAMA
