KUALA LUMPUR – The Meteorological Department has issued a thunderstorm warning in the waters of Perlis, Kedah and Sarawak (Mukah, Miri and Bintulu) which is expected to continue until early afternoon Sunday.
According to the statement, this condition may cause strong winds up to 50 kilometre per hour (kmph) and rough seas with waves rising up to 3.5 metres.
The situation is dangerous to small boats.
Meanwhile, the thunderstorm activities occurring over waters off Northern Straits of Melaka, Reef South and Reef North are also expected to continue until early afternoon today.
