MELAKA – Police arrested 39 people including 30 Chinese women and a Vietnamese woman, believed to be working as guest relations officers (GRO), during an ‘Op Noda’ raid at an entertainment outlet here, early today.
Bukit Aman Organised Crime Unit, Tactical 3 Gambling/Vice/Secret Society (STAGG) Operations Officer ASP Mohd Nor Nahar Nayan said the GROs, aged between 21 to 42, were detained in the two-hour operation, at 12.30 am.
Also detained were a local woman and a Chinese woman believed to be acting as pimps, two local men who were the premises’ managers and also four workers including a local men, two Myanmar men and a Chinese man, aged between 21 to 36, he said.
“The inspection revealed that this entertainment premises provide crown, shawl and robe for clients who could pay the highest payment for the GRO before having sex.
“The GRO can be taken home by the customers after they paid for the crown, shawl and robe. This entertainment premises is only regular clients,” he told reporters here today.
Mohd Nor Nahar said the prices offered for a crown was RM500, a shawl for RM100 to RM300, while a robe cost between RM1,000 to RM5,000.
He said, a total of RM4,839 in cash were also confiscated including RM2,600 from the immoral activities during the raid on the premises whose business license would expire on Dec 31.
He said further investigation also revealed that the premises had been involved in drug abuse as a packet of drugs and a bottle of water mixed with drugs were found in one of the rooms.
“We also seized 30 bottles of alcohol in this entertainment premises since it was not licensed to sell alcohol,” he said. – BERNAMA
