MELAKA – A third suspect in the alleged RM2.54 million false claims case involving the Federal Government Paddy Fertiliser Scheme has been remanded for six days beginning today, under Section 18 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009.
The remand order on the 52-year-old man was issued by Ayer Keroh Magistrate’s Court assistant registrar Mohd Anuar Ostadi.
The paddy farmer and fishmonger was brought to the court in orange MACC lockup attire around 10.30 am and emerged after about 30 minutes.
Bernama earlier reported that the first two suspects, an Area Farmers’ Organisation project manager aged 38, and a paddy farmer aged 46 , were remanded two days ago, for six days and seven days respectively. – BERNAMA
