For people who had visited Johor Bahru’s sea-side attraction Danga Bay, flashes of dizzying carnival rides and the echoes of screaming kids might spring into mind–but what if we told you that top-selling international acts will be performing at the said venue?
Yes, the unthinkable is bound to become a reality. Dance hip-hop group The Black Eyed Peas (BEP) is set to entertain the crowd at the Sultan of Johor’s coronation day celebration.
The funky foursome will perform alongside a few Asian performers including Korean girl pop artist, T-Ara, Indonesia’s Rossa, Korea’s Sistar, Taiwanese Fuying and Sam.
Several top notch local acts such as Sheila Majid, Jacklyn Victor, Penny Tai and Shila Amzah will also perform at the free open-air four-day music festival, Bernama reports.
The performers are scheduled to get it started from 26th March.
Visitors can also enjoy other shows including the F3000 Power Boat Race, Cycleton Around Johor, Beach Sports, Boats Floats Procession and a fireworks display.
The F3000 Power Boat Race will see participation from seven countries, including Brazil, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Thailand and Singapore.
As for Cycleton Around Johor, which is also being organised for the first time here, 20 teams will participate.
Another highlight will be the Boats Floats display and procession around Danga Bay, which will showcase 23 beautiful boat floats, including one from each Johor district, as well as from public and private corporations.
The celebration will end with a spectacular fireworks display.
