To make it more convenient for shoppers to pay for their groceries, Tesco Stores (M) Bhd recently launched its improved Clubcard.
The new Clubcard, in collaboration with Touch â€˜n Go Bhd (TNGSB), aims to provide loyal customers with a greater shopping experience at Tesco and to gain
Tesco Malaysia chief executive officer Georg Fischer said the hypermarket had always been committed in its efforts.
â€œSince the launch of Tesco Clubcard in 2007, we have distributed more than RM130.8 million in Tesco vouchers to our customers. At present, we have more than 1.7 million active members.
â€œWe hope that the new 2-in-1 card, which boasts more benefits from Tesco and Touch â€˜n Go, will get more customers to sign up.â€
The card offers more savings as members will be able to enjoy benefits and discounts from selected Tesco Malaysiaâ€™s partners and TNGSBâ€™s merchants.
The membership comes with a Welcome Pack, including discounts and gift vouchers worth up to RM300.
There is a one-time, new membership fee of RM8 during the introductory period, while existing members will be charged only RM5.
â€œMembers will get one point for every RM1 spent and if the total points reach 400 points, they will automatically qualify for a RM2 voucher.
â€œThose who use recycled bags will earn more Tesco Green Clubcard points,â€ said Fischer.
TNGSB chief executive officer Abdul Karim Md Lassim said the smart partnership would make it more convenient for customers to reload and make payment.
â€œCustomers will enjoy cashless convenience with Touch â€˜n Go at any time while shopping at 23 Tesco stores nationwide.
â€œThe payment and service with no reload fees will be expanded gradually to all 51 Tesco branches in the country,â€ he said.-NST
