KUALA TERENGGANU: The Terengganu state assembly sitting was adjourned sine die Monday with no unexpected incident, after much brouhaha over the political crisis in the state leadership.
Even Kijal Assemblyman Datuk Seri Ahmad Said (pic) did not move any motion, despite talks that he would table an emergency motion at the sitting.
All Terengganu state assembly members, except Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, who is Rhu Assemblyman, turned up for the sitting.
The PAS president is said to be in Turkey.
Ahmad was in the assembly hall during the earlier session, but did not return when sitting resumed at about 11am after recess.
Today’s sitting ended with State Assembly Speaker Datuk Mohd Zubir Embong thanking the floor for their cooperation.
Mentri Besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman, when met by reporters, said he was grateful that nothing untoward happened and the sitting went smoothly. – Bernama
