KUALA TERENGGANU – The Terengganu police received 14 multi-purpose vehicles (MPV) and 14 scooters for the Women’s Peace Police Squad (Amanita) to curb crime in the state.
Terengganu Police chief Datuk Jamshah Mustapa said the police also received eight four-wheel-drive vehicles for patrolling duties in towns and interior areas.
He said the addition of assets, namely, Proton Preve and Nissan Navara would strengthen the police frontline in the state while the Honda scooters were used by the Amanita squad.
“The MPV will be provided for all the districts to replace the old ones and will be value-added in ensuring a better security for the communities,” he said after a handing over ceremony of the vehicles at the Terengganu Police Contingent Headquarters here, today. – BERNAMA
