KUALA TERENGGANU: The Terengganu government has announced a reshuffle of portfolios held by seven state executive councillors to take effect on Aug 1.
Of the 10, including Mentri Besar Ahmad Razif Abd Rahman, seven will see a change in their portfolios while the job scope of three other exco members remained status quo.
A statement released by the Mentri besar’s office said the change in the portfolios will take effect as of August 1.
The seven involved are Mentri Besar Ahmad Razif who would helm the Planning; Finance and Investment; Land; Petroleum and Natural Resources; Tourism and Culture.
Ahmad Razif currently holds the Planning; Finance and Investment; Land; Petroleum and Natural Resources; Local Government and Housing portfolios.
The Aug 1 change of portfolio will also see Datuk Mohd Jidin Shafee (Permaisuri assemblyman) will hold the
Local Government and Housing which he takes over from the mentri besar.
Hulu Besut assemblyman Nawi Mohamad who currently holds the Agriculture and Agro-based Industry; Plantations and Commodities portfolio, will helm the Entrepreneurship; Rural Development; Consumerism and Cooperatives portfolio.
Nawi will take over from Roslee Daud (Bukit Besi assemblyman) which will see the latter holding the Health; Women’s Development, Family and Community portfolios.
The statement also showed that Datuk Muhammad Pehimi Yusof, the current state Health; Women’s Development, Family and Community Committee chairman will hold on to the Agriculture and Agro-based Industry; Plantations and Commodities portfolio, taking over from Nawi.
Meanwhile Pengkalan Berangan assemblyman A. Latiff Awang who is currently the State Government Transformation; Communications and Multimedia committee chairman will see him taking over Ghazali Taib’s portfolio.
Ghazali who is currently the Education; Science; Technology and Special Task will move on to helm the Communications and Multimedia; and Special Task portfolios.
The three who had no changes in their portfolios and remained status quo were Kuala Berang assemblyman Datuk Tengku Putera Tengku Awang who remained with his Industry and Trade portfolios; Datuk Rozi Mamat, Telemong assemblyman, as the state Youth and Sports and Human Resources committee chairman.
While Rosli Othman, Kemasik assemblyman will hold on to his current portfolios.
He is the state Infrastructure, Public Utilities, Energy, and Green Technologies.
