RANAU – A temporary bailey bridge will be built to link Kampung Mesilou and Kundasang which was cut off when the previous one crashed after it was swept by mud floods.
Sabah Assistant Infrastructure Development Minister Datuk Bobbey Suan said the bridge would be built at Km 3.1 Masilau Golf Course at a cost of RM800,000 and expected to be completed in three months’ time.
“Priority is given to the construction of the bridge in the area to link the Kundasang Islamic Training Centre and government agencies, private sector and privately owned vegebable farms,” he told reporters after inspecting the Bambangan water treatment plant here today.
He and another state Assistant Infrastructure Development Minister Datuk Ghulam Haidar Khan Bahadar, ministry’s permanent secretary Datuk Michael Emban and Sabah Works Department deputy director Willis Ansoi also visited two areas
with bridges destroyed by the mud floods, including at Jalan Km 1.27 linking the Mesilou Nature Centre. – BERNAMA
