Taxi Drivers Protest Uber, Grabcar At Parliament House

KUALA LUMPUR – A group of taxi drivers today gathered to protest the Uber and Grabcar service and submit a memorandum at parliament house.

Dang Wangi Police chief, ACP Zainol Samah said the protest at 10.30am went on peacefully and ended about 15 minutes later.

“The taxi drivers submitted a memorandum to a representative of parliament,” he told Bernama, here today.

Malaysian Taxi Drivers Action Committee chairman, Zailani Isausuludin said about 40 taxi drivers gathered to protest the Uber and Grabcar service.

“We want the government to review the approval given to Uber and Grabcar.”
Zailani urged the government to revoke the registration of private vehicles registered as Uber and Grabcar. – BERNAMA
