Tamrin Tun Abdul Ghafar resigns from being a member of PAS effective today, believed to be on the differences over the Selangor Menteri Besar saga.
The former Umno veteran had sent his resignation letter to PAS headquarters today addressed to secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali.
Asked on his reason for leaving the party, Tamrin said: “I just want to relax a while,” and did not want to say what are his future political plans
Tamrin joined PAS in Aug 2012, citing his lost of confidence in Umno’s direction which he claimed as deviated from the original struggles.
Tamrin had quit Umno before action could be taken against him by Umno’s disciplinary committee following his criticisms towards the party on opposition platform.
He was Barisan Nasional (BN) MP for Batu Beremdam, Malacca, from 1986 until 1995.MYNEWSHUB
