KUALA LUMPUR: T-Team have now moved to the top of the Premier League table after a 2-1 win over DRB Hicom FC, at Proton Stadium in Tanjung Malim, Perak, Friday.
With the results, T-Team which were tied 14 points with Penang, climbed up to the top on goal difference.
The position may change as Penang have a game in hand against NS Matrix at Tunku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi, this Sunday.
In the match at Proton Stadium, Uzbekistan import striker, Farhod Tadjiyev was the hero of the match scoring all two goals in the 41st and 71st minute for the visitors while DRB Hicom could only close the gap in the 90th minute through Aris Zaidi.
In another match, Sabah failed to capitalise on their home ground advantage to seize the table leader when they were held to a 1-1 draw by PKNS FC at Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu.
Libyan striker Eamon Zayed put the Rhinos ahead in the 15th minute but they failed to defend the lead when Pedro Henrique slotted in for the visitors in the 76th minute, and with the loss of 2 precious points, Sabah were pushed to the third place in the table.
At UiTM Stadium, Shah Alam, UiTM FC continued their winning streak by chalking up a 3-2 win over Kuantan FA.
UiTM scored via Abdi Kassim Sadallah in the 15th minute and Ivory Coast import, Dao Bakary in the 39th minute while Bakary converted a penalty in the 72nd minute.
Kuantan FA pulled back with late goals by Milan Purovic in an 84th minute penalty and Haitian import, Fabrice Noel, three minutes later.
Meanwhile Kuala Lumpur picked up their second win this season when they edged SPA Putrajaya FC 1-0 at Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium, Kelana Jaya via their Cameroon striker, Kalle Sone in the 72nd minute.
