GEORGE TOWN – Penang failed to secure three full points despite leading in the first half in their Super League match against Selangor at City Stadium here, last night.
Penang coach Nenad Bacina when met after the hard-fought match which ended in a 1-1 draw, was full of praise for his boys’ fearless performance against the Red Giants.
“It was a bold attempt by us despite the heavy rain and slippery condition of the pitch,” he said.
Meanwhile Selangor coach, Zainal Abidin Hassan said the squad played well despite missing several good chances.
“We will have to buck up in the next few matches as table leaders Felda United and JDT are pulling further ahead,” he said.
In the match, Penang midfielder Seok Min Jeong scored in the 26th minute while Selangor equalised seven minutes later via Patrick Ronaldinho. – BERNAMA
