The complex was built at a cost of RM9.4 million, of which RM5 million was a loan provided by the state government.
The double-storey building also has a meeting hall that can accommodate 40 people, a surau, a gallery, meeting rooms, a main counter and a drive-in counter.
Mohd Nizar, in his speech at the function, said the council can change its approach in customer management in line with the explosion of information technology and can be a catalyst for sustainable development as well as play an eco-social role by involving the community in every development plan that meets the expectations and aspirations of the people in the locality.
“MDPT always strives to provide quality, competitive and dynamic municipal services to the people in the locality. The MDPT staff look forward to a continued increase in revenue income in line with intensive development and hope that the MDPT will eventually become a municipal council,” he said. – BERNAMA
