KLANG – A 15-year-old boy who was about to be expelled from school for disciplinary problems was found hanged in his room instead.
The student from Taman Klang Utama here was found hanged from a ceiling fan in his parents’ house at about 1.40pm on Wednesday.
It was learnt that the teenager and his parents had gone to his school to see his teachers at about 11am the same day.
During the meeting, they were told that the teenager would be expelled for several disciplinary problems, including threatening other schoolmates.
After they went home at about 1pm, the teenager was said to have gone upstairs to his room. His mother, sensing that something was amiss when he did not come down after a while, went upstairs to check on him.
She found the teenager hanged from the ceiling fan.
North Klang OCPD Asst Comm Mazelan Paijan confirmed the case and said there was no foul play involved and a post-mortem had been conducted on the teenager. It showed that he died by hanging.
