IPOH – Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zamby Abd Kadir has advised the people to refrain from spreading unverified news on yesterday’s helicopter crash in Sarawak.
He said it was important to respect the feelings of the family members of those who were on board the ill-fated aircraft.
The Eurocopter AS350 helicopter, which had six people on board, went down while flying from Betong to Kuching.
The remains of Deputy Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Noriah Kasnon were found today and flown to Kuching.
Also on board were Noriah’s husband Asmuni Abdullah, Kuala Kangsar MP Datuk Wan Muhammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad, Plantation Industries and Commodities Ministry secretary-general Datuk Dr Sundaran Annamalai, Noriah’s bodyguard Ahmad Sobri Harun and Filipino pilot Rudolf Rex Ragas.
The helicopter had left Betong at 4.12pm and was to have arrived in Kuching at about 5pm. – BERNAMA
