KUALA KANGSAR: The Perak state government always strived to implement various programs to ensure that every strata of society benefited from whatever development carried out.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir said these included the determination to build 10,000 units of affordable homes by 2018, the 1Amanjaya Mobile Shop program, food aid to the needy, education aid as well as welfare aid.
“I have tabled these in the budget for 2016 at the Perak State Legislative Assembly sitting. Similarly, they were tabled in the Perak Five-Year Development Plan under the 11th Malaysia Plan, two months ago.
“In tabling the two important papers, I had listed the development programs and projects, which hopefully, would bring much benefits to the state and people,” he said.
He disclosed this in his speech at the investiture in conjunction with the 59th Birthday of the Sultan of Perak XXXV at the Balairong Seri, Istana Iskandariah, here today.
Zambry said the state government would give more focus on sustainable economic growth, program implementation and development projects to meet the aspiration of the people.
“In facing the aspiration of the people for a more comfortable life, the hardships of the people who faced various problems had always been given priority,” he said.
He added that attention would continue to be given to solidarity and unity among the people of Perak.
Zambry said the state government would also ensure that there were no vacuum or loopholes that could create problems to the state and people.
