HULU TERENGGANU – The Terengganu state legislative assembly will soon decide whether Terengganu will continue playing in the Super League or not.
State Youth, Sports and Human Resources committee chairman Datuk Rozi Mamat said the state exco would wait for a report from the Terengganu Football Association (TFA) before discussing the matter.
“I have asked TFA to meet and discuss with various parties, including fan clubs, to get feedback and recommendation. These recommendations and feedback will be carefully studied because it involves the future of the state’s football.
“For many players, football is their ‘bread and butter’ and if Terengganu decide to pull out, what will they do? This is a good point to discuss,” he told reporters at a function to give out assistance from Yayasan Terengganu for the Telemong constituency.
Rozi said they (Terengganu) would also accept FAM’s decision and clarification that a Terengganu player who had scored Terengganu’s fourth goal in the match against Lions XII, was in an offside position.
He said FAM secretary-general Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin had called him to discuss the disputed goal at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium and explained the situation.
