KUALA LUMPUR – Several athletes were injured after a bus ferrying Myanmar, Philippines and Thai players for the SEA Games squash competition was involved in an accident with another vehicle today.
The two buses in the accident were carrying 13 players from Thailand, five from the Philippines and 10 from Myanmar. The injured players are said to be from Myanmar.
The bus was on its way to the National Squash Centre after leaving the players’ hotel in Putrajaya.
Today’s squash matches — men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles — have been temporarily suspended.
