A Singaporean photographer,Aram Pan,was one of the lucky ones to get the chance of his lifetime to board North Korea’s carrier, Air Koryo.
The trip was specially catered to aviation aficionados, the trip included a 10-day trip on eight different air crafts.
Air Koryo schedules daily flights to Asia and Europe, and has been dubbed as the world’s worst airline by review website Skytrax.
It holds the rating of one star and has received poor ratings for areas such as airline meals, ease of check-ins and plane quality.
In his series of photos, however, Pan showed that the airlines was actually not as bad as it was touted to be.
The aircraft may be lacking some of the up-to-date facilities like on-board entertainment like most national airlines, but the cabin was clean and Pan told the Daily Mail that the food was “better than he thought”.
The flight attendants were pleasant as well, wearing arm-baring navy blue uniforms, with a studded trim at the collar. Pan described them as “polite and soft-spoken”.
The trip was organised by UK-based company, Juche Travel.
According Daily Mail, the company has been running Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) aviation tours for the past three years.
Juche Travel’s website stated that DPRK is the only country where participants can fly on all major Soviet-era aircraft.MYNEWSHUB
