LANGKAWI – Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) has approved 448 applications for Rumah Mesra Rakyat 1Malaysia (RMR1M) or 1Malaysia People Friendly Homes this year for the low-income group to own houses on the island.
SPNB chief executive officer Datuk Ahmad Azizi Ali said of the total, 343 units had been completed while 105 units were still under construction.
“This is the government’s efforts to provide more comfortable homes for the people,” he told Bernama today, after handing over certificates of fitness to 105 units of RMR1M applicants.
He said SPNB had so far received 932 applications for RMR1M in Langkawi. – BERNAMA
