SIMUNJAN (Southern Sarawak) – The Special Tactical Operations and Rescue Malaysia (STORM) has joined firemen and the police in the search for a two-year-old boy who went missing since Sunday in Kampong Ruan Baru here.
Over 70 villagers are also joining in the search for Desmen Davei.
The toddler’s grandmother told police that she had bathed him and left him in a chair in the living room of the house and continued with other chores at about 1pm.
The boy was missing when she returned to the living room a few minutes later.
Police called the Fire department for help and combed the kampung and nearby forests but could not locate him.
The state Fire and Rescue Department said they were using MUST (multi-skilled trained personnels) in the search for the boy.
The boy’s disappearence has so far puzzled searchers as there are no big drains or rivers near the kampung.
The family is also conducting traditional prayers in the search for the boy. – The Star Online
