KUALA TERENGGANU – The Terengganu state assembly speaker has rejected a no-confidence motion against Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman.
The motion of no-confidence was tabled by former mentri besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said at the state assembly sitting here on Tuesday.
Speaker Datuk Mohd Zubir Embong earlier adjourned the sitting for lunch break before deciding on the motion.
Ahmad Said, who is Umno Kijal assemblyman, tabled the motion while debating on the motion of thanks on the Sultan of Terengganu’s speech.
He claimed that the administration of Ahmad Razif of Umno had tried to ridicule him in matters relating to housing, the setting up of Kuala Nerus district and fast food outlet Chicken Cottage. – The Star Online
