PUTRAJAYA – Hundreds of supporters of Anwar Ibrahim and Saiful Bukhari have gathered outside Malaysia’s Federal Court complex on the second day of the high-profile trial in the hope that justice will be served accordingly to both parties.
Some 1,000 of both camps’ followers stepped out their bolstering game, carrying paraphernalia and expressing their support.
Led by scores of the alleged sodomy victim and former aide of Anwar’s proponents, their chants of ‘Justice For Saiful’, ‘Tangkap Anwar’ (Incarcerate Anwar) and  ‘Hormati Sultan, Hormati Undang-Undang’ (Respect The Sultan,Honor The Law) rang out to the disgraced political leader’s allies, who were holding picket signs written with ‘Rakyat Hakim Negara’ (The People are the Nation’s Judge) in Malaysia’s administrative capital early on Wednesday.
Supporters of both Saiful and Anwar have increased in number since the first day of trial on Tuesday.
Police presence around the court was noticeably higher compared to yesterday, with members of the Federal Reserve Unit on standby for any signs of unrest.MYNEWSHUB
