KANGAR: Another student of an orphanage at the KompleksÂ Penyayang Dr Siti Hasmah, Jejawi, pleaded guilty in the Juvenile Court here
today to a charge of rioting which resulted in one of their friends to beÂ injured last May.
The student, aged 15, is the sixth student to be charged with the offence.
The other five were brought to the court yesterday where they pleaded guilty toÂ the charge.
They are charged with committing the offence, which resulted in anÂ 11-year-old student to be injured, at the hostel between 1 pm on May 31 and 2 pmÂ onÂ June 1 this year.
Magistrate Norhayati Ibrahim set Dec 24 for sentencing pending a probationÂ report on the students concerned from the Perlis Social Welfare Department.
She offered the student bail of RM500 in one surety, but no one came to bailÂ him out, and he taken to the Kuala Perlis police lock-up.
Deputy public prosecutor Noor Syazwani Mohamad Sobry prosecuted.
